What You Will
The Lessons of Autumn (1996)
Chartreuse EP (1999)
Live at the Evening Muse (2006)

Hey..I.
You got what it takes the make me crazy
Hey..I.
You got what it takes to make me bad

Just by tripping on your shoelace
As your walking out the door
It silly but it's all I'm asking for
If you have the time

Hey..I.
You've got what it takes to meet my fancy
Hey..I.
You've got what it takes to get me dancing

Just by loving hemoglobin
Cause that's the thing you do
It's crazy what a little joy can do
If you have the time

And I can't sit still
I've got a springtime song inside me
Do What You Will
Cause I don't want to throw this chance away...
Away...
Away...
Away...

Just by tripping on your shoelace
When you're walking out the door
It's silly but it's all I'm asking for
If you have the time

Mike Garrigan on "What You Will":

This is a song I wrote for my wife. I wrote this song to get her to out with me. (Audience: "It worked!") Actually it didn't work and then I actually treated her like a normal person and asked her out to, like, coffee and stuff. So all those guys out there, just because you write a song for somebody really doesn't mean they're going to go out with you. That was one of the lessons fo autumn. It's kind of implied, though.
