Walk in Circles
Gravity Affects Me EP (2004)

There’s nothing left to fear
You’re a million miles from here
Why don’t you just fall into place

You’re so far away
Until my eyes have seen enough
Of running blind from miracles
Of falling in and out of love
I will walk in circles

Release your heart to play
So much that I could say to you
Why don’t you stay?

You’re so far away
Until my eyes have seen enough
Of running blind from miracles
Of falling in and out of love
I will walk in circles

Until my mind has played enough
Games of blind empiracles
Of falling in and out of love
I will walk in circles

Until my eyes have seen enough
Of running blind from miracles
Of falling in and out of love
I will walk in circles

Until my mind has played enough
Games of blind empiracles
Of falling in and out of love
I will walk in circles
I will walk in circles
I will walk in circles

Mike Garrigan on "Walk in Circles":

“Walk in Circles” came out of a sonic accident I experienced at my apartment in Chapel Hill in the fall of 2002. I set up a drum loop and played some really cheesy chords and sang the chorus that exists in the song now. It was quite goofy sounding. On a whim, I changed the chords from Maj7ths to minors and the song wrote itself. It’s really dark. I like the lyrics are simple…not a lot of crazy imagery or window dressing words. Hell, this song is so personal that I’m not even willing to tell you what I think about while I’m playing it. Maybe some other time.
